The Support bareback pad is a model with blocks at the base of the bareback pad that provide the rider with a lot of support while riding. Due to its short back length, the bareback pad is ideal for horses and ponies with a short back, but can also be used on horses and ponies with a normal back. Riders up to size 42 fit well in the bareback pad. The bareback pad has thick padding, but not at the level of the spine, so the bareback pad provides a little spine freedom when used by light riders.

- horses and ponies with no to medium-high withers
- light use, approximately 2 to 3 times per week
- riders who want to sit comfortably/softly
The bareback pad is less suitable for:
- horses and ponies with high withers
- horses and ponies with poorly muscled backs
- horses and ponies with prominent/well-feelable spine
- intensive use (in the case of intensive use, choose a bareback pad with inserts, or place a pad with inserts under the Pioneer support bareback pad to protect/keep the spine free)
Sheepskin seat:
The matching sheepskin seat can be ordered separately with the bareback pad. This is not necessarily required, you can order it if you like or want more rider comfort.
