Disadvantages of the Christ Iberica Fellsattel:
- Lambskin is, especially when new, smooth and can cause the bareback pad to slide faster on round horses or provide less grip for the rider
- A sheep is slaughtered for the production of lambskin, making the product not sheep-friendly
- The bareback pad has rings for attaching stirrups
- No V-girth system
The Christ Iberica bareback pad is ideal for:
- Regular use, 3 to 4 times a week
- With matching pad with inlays, 4 to 5 times a week
- Horses and ponies with no to medium withers
- Riders who like to have a bit more support
- Riders who want to sit very softly
The Christ Iberica bareback pad is less suitable for:
- Riders who need grip on the bareback pad
- Horses and ponies with (extremely) high withers (choose the Christ Premium Plus XH model in this case)
Delivery and required accessories:
The bareback pad is delivered without girth. A dressage girth is required for use. A matching lambskin girth from Christ is available. Other dressage girths without lambskin, which can stabilize the position, are also widely used. For intensive use, the matching pad with inlays can be ordered separately. Inlays for the bareback pad are included and are already in the pad.

Stirrup straps on the Christ bareback pad:
Like all bareback pads, it is not recommended to ride with stirrups on the Christ bareback pad, as this can cause pressure points on one or two vertebrae. However, with a Christ Fellsattel, it is possible to attach stirrup straps with stirrups.

Care of the lambskin bareback pad:
The bareback pad is machine washable on a cold cycle, using lambskin detergent. Lambskin should dry slowly and should not be dried in direct sunlight. The seat area and the inserts are removable, allowing the bareback pad to be washed in parts and fit better in the washing machine.
