Some drawbacks are:
- The lambskin can be smooth initially and may cause the pad to slip.
- The production of lambskin requires the slaughter of sheep.
- The rings for stirrup leathers are covered.
- No V-girth system.
- The pad may be thick under the rider's leg.
The Christ Cloud Bareback Pad is ideally suited for:
- Regular use, 3 to 4 times per week
- With matching pad with inserts, 4 to 5 times per week
- Horses or ponies with no to medium withers
- Riders who prefer a bit more support
- Riders who prefer a very soft seat
- Riders who occasionally desire knee pads for small jumps
The Christ Cloud Bareback Pad is less suitable for:
- Riders who require grip on the bareback pad
- Horses or ponies with (extremely) high withers (use the Christ XH model)
Delivery and necessary accessories:
The bareback pad is delivered without a girth. You will need a dressage girth. A matching lambskin girth from Christ is available. Other dressage girths without lambskin, which can stabilize the position, are also widely used. For intensive use, the appropriate insert can be ordered separately. The bareback pad comes with inserts and knee rolls.

Stirrup leathers on the Christ Bareback Pad:
Like all bareback pads, it is not recommended to ride with stirrups, as this can create pressure points on one or two vertebrae. However, with a Christ Fellsattel, it is possible to attach stirrup leathers.

Care for the lambskin bareback pad:
The bareback pad can be machine washed on a gentle cycle. Use a special lambskin detergent. Lambskin should dry slowly and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The seat and inserts are removable, allowing the bareback pad to be washed in parts and fit better in the washing machine.
