EDIX Broncho Western Bareback Pad
The Broncho is a Western bareback pad with built-in cushions that provide a small amount of spinal freedom to the horse while riding with the bareback pad. In combination with the matching pad with inserts, you achieve ample spinal freedom, ensuring the horse's back remains well protected during bareback riding. The model is lightly anatomically shaped and is suitable for horses with no to medium withers.

Disadvantages of Broncho bareback pad:
- The bareback pad is insufficiently anatomically shaped for horses with high withers

The EDIX bareback pad is ideal for:
- D ponies to draft horses with no to minimal withers
- With matching pad, also suitable for horses with medium withers
- Approximately 3 times a week usage; with pad with inserts suitable for 4-5 times a week usage
The bareback pad is less suitable for:
- Horses/ponies with high withers
- Horses/ponies with short backs
- A, B, and C ponies
No stirrup leathers on the bareback pad:
To prevent pressure points on the spine, we advise against using stirrups with stirrup leathers on the bareback pad. These may potentially cause pressure points and also give a false sense of security. A bareback pad is not as stable as a saddle; you may slide/fall more easily with one-sided pressure in a stirrup. However, stirrups and stirrup leathers can be attached to EDIX bareback pads if desired, but do so with caution and always with the matching Broncho pad. Matching fenders and stirrups are not included.
Delivery and necessary accessories:
The Broncho bareback pad is delivered without accessories. To use the Broncho bareback pad, you need the following accessories, which can be ordered separately:
- Western girth, recommended the FRA Supersingel for stable positioning
- Broncho pad with inserts (optional, recommended for intensive use)
- if desired, fenders and stirrup leathers
Material suede bareback pad:
Upper side: brushed cowhide (suede)
Inner construction: high density foam with rubber and thick wool felt layer
Underside: synthetic wool
Girth straps: dressage girth straps
Metalwork: stainless steel (rustproof)
Maintenance of bareback pad:
You can brush off the suede with a soft brush if it becomes dirty. The bareback pad cannot be machine washed. Therefore, it is advisable to always use a pad or the matching Amazone pad underneath. These can be washed in the washing machine. To maintain the product/suede, occasionally spray the bareback pad with leather impregnation spray, making it more resistant to dirt and water.
