Due to the shorter length of this stick, 1 meter compared to the usual 1.2 meters, this stick is ideal for children and small ponies. It can also be used as a "riding stick" since a length of 1.2 meters is often unnecessary while on the horse.
Horsemanship Stick:
This Natural Horsemanship Stick, also known as a Carrot Stick, serves as an extension of the human body during Natural Horsemanship or ground work with your horse or pony. By extending your arm, you can more easily give cues to specific areas of the horse's body that you may not be able to reach with your arm from your position. A stick does not serve the same purpose as a whip. Hence, the original name is often Carrot Stick, although it is commonly shortened to just "Stick." Carrot Stick translates to "Karottenstab" in German. The idea behind it is that the horse should like the stick as much as a carrot. Therefore, the stick should not be used like a whip. A stick is also stiffer; it lacks the flexibility found in a whip. This also allows, for example, for the horse to be gently touched with the stick.
The stick features a non-slip handle that feels comfortable in the hand, and the string is detachable. With a weight of only 300 grams, it is very comfortable to work with.
