Why use a hay net/slow feeder?
Feeding roughage (hay and pre-dried forage) using a slow feed product helps slow down the foraging duration (eating time). This allows the horse to consume smaller amounts of roughage at once, mimicking natural behavior. In the wild, horses typically graze for an average of 16 hours a day, and their digestive systems are adapted to this pattern. A longer eating time positively impacts the digestive system, reducing the likelihood of gastric ulcers, boredom, and stall vices. Additionally, using a hay rack cover net minimizes wastage of roughage.

Use of slow feeder for hay rack or container
Use at your own risk. It is advisable not to let the horse wear a halter or horseshoes when using a hay rack cover net to minimize the chance of the horse getting entangled. This excludes a safety pasture halter, which easily comes off in emergencies – see here for an example.
Separately available is simple attachment material, the Duranet bracket plate and carabiner hook.
