Properties of Duranet's feeder cover nets:
Rectangular feeder cover nets with slow-feeder properties for covering the feeder or trough from which the horse or pony eats roughage. Duranet produces high-quality nets. Durable and environmentally friendly, with over 95% of the raw materials used in Duranet products being recyclable. The nets are made of wear-resistant, knotless strong polypropylene with a wire thickness of 5mm. The feeder cover nets are bordered with an 8mm edge cord.
Why feed with a haynet/slow feeder?
Feeding forage (hay and pre-cut silage) using a slow-feed product delays foraging time. The horse can consume smaller quantities of forage at once, similar to natural grazing behavior. In nature, a horse spends an average of 16 hours a day eating, and its digestive system is adapted to this. A longer feeding time has a positive effect on the digestive system, reducing the risk of gastric ulcers, preventing boredom, and minimizing stable vices. Additionally, using a feeder cover net reduces hay wastage.

Use of high-quality feeder cover nets
Use at your own risk. It is advisable not to let the horse wear a halter or horseshoes when using a feeder cover net to minimize the chance of the horse getting caught in the net. Exceptionally, a safety pasture halter that easily comes off in case of emergency, see an example here, can be used. For very small hooves, it is advisable to use the Duranet haynet bag with a 45mm mesh size.
Separately available simple attachment material, the Duranet bracket plate, and carabiner.
Made in Europe
