FRA Dardo Shetty Bareback Pad/Riding Saddle Pad
The Dardo Shetty bareback pad is designed slightly differently than the regular FRA Dardo, making it specially tailored for Shetland ponies and small ponies.

The bareback pad has a top made of suede (synthetic suede). It is filled with high-density foam, with extra thickness around the withers. The entire pad is quilted with polypropylene. At the bottom, there is a perforated non-slip neoprene layer called sympanova. This material is low maintenance, shock-absorbing, hygienic, and temperature-regulating. The bareback pad is anatomically shaped and equipped with a nylon handle.

Disadvantages of the bareback pad:
- No V-system girth like the larger FRA Dardo
- No spinal clearance
- Foam padding is not thick enough for intensive use
The Dardo Shetty bareback pad is ideal for:
- Shetlands and ponies with little to moderate withers
- Light use, approximately 1-2 times per week
The FRA Shetty bareback pad is less suitable for:
- Shetlands and ponies with extremely high withers
- Intensive use; in this case, choose a bareback pad with inserts that protect the spine, or place a pad with inserts under this bareback pad.
