Book: De NATUUR als krachtige basis voor jouw PAARD
41 healthy herbs and trees, with inspiring and practical tips for the living environment.
Content of Nature as a Powerful Foundation for Your Horse:
The book is divided into two parts: The horse internally and externally. It describes 41 herbs and trees that are medicinal and suitable for horses. You will also find a handy overview of which herb is best used for a specific ailment, enabling you to create a kind of home pharmacy. It’s also useful to know which herbs have deworming properties, for example. Additionally, you'll learn how to make medicinal ointments and a pleasant fly spray for your horse. There are also recipes for a delicious cup of herbal tea for yourself, and some interesting facts that might surprise you.
The environment of your horse:
How can you keep your horse as naturally as possible? This section provides all sorts of information about creating a herbal meadow, a real "snack bar" for your horse, a hill, or a pond. It also discusses the use of passive physiotherapy. In the chapter on hooves, there is a deeper discussion about housing. Additionally, it explains why you should avoid artificial fertilizers and how to make your own compost as fertilizer for your horse's pasture.
Introduction:
"As a child, I was fascinated by nature, particularly medicinal plants. I quickly created my own herb garden and learned about their properties. My love for horses also started at a young age, on my grandparents' farm, where I often spent time with the horses.
When I fulfilled my dream and got my first horse, a Tinker named Thoran, I was searching. What kind of feed should I give him, and how should I house him? He showed me that there was more to eat than just grass. He also ate herbs and tree leaves around the pasture. This led me to research the diet and habitat of wild horses. I soon realized that there is a lot of free health available for my horse in nature. He also hated being stabled, which made me consider alternative housing options.
People around me began to ask more and more questions about housing, medicinal herbs, and trees. Over the years, I gathered a lot of information, which resulted in this book. I want to take you on a journey toward keeping your horse in a more natural way, in harmony with nature. Alongside the well-being of our horses, we also consider the bees, butterflies, bumblebees, birds, and (small) mammals.
In short: Let yourself be inspired and get started with the practical tips! Your horse and nature will thank you!"
