What is a Hackamore Bitless Bridle?
A hackamore noseband applies pressure on the nose and chin. The effect is sharper than, for example, a cross-under bridle, but the release is better than with a cross-under. A sidepull only applies pressure on the nose, but without the hackamore, it is less sharp. This is due to the hackamore shanks that are part of the bitless noseband. These shanks have a leverage effect—the longer the shank, the greater the leverage. The aids you give with your hand are thus amplified by the hackamore shank and have more influence on your horse.
No Browband
At EDIX, we recommend using your bridle without a browband. A browband is not necessary to keep your bridle stable on your horse. This ensures that there is no pressure behind the ears and on the poll. We also believe that less is more. It's beautiful to see your horse's face without a browband. If you prefer a browband, they are available separately.

Fitting the Brightstar Bridle
A hackamore fits like a regular bridle. The noseband should hover about 4 fingers above the mouth. It should not rest on the sensitive lower nasal bone. Try to maintain a distance of 2 fingers from the cheekbones. The chin strap can be snug but make sure the horse can still comfortably open its mouth. If the chin strap is too loose, the aids become less clear for your horse/pony, and it also increases the chance of the horse losing its bridle.
Delivery of the EDIX Bridle:

Maintenance of Argentine Leather:
For maintaining the bridle, EDIX recommends using Oakwood products. Be careful with the light leather colors, as they may darken with the use of care products. Always choose a product that is as colorless as possible.
