The EDIX felt western pad is anatomically shaped for an optimal fit. The pad provides spine freedom thanks to inserts on both sides of the spine. The top of the pad is finished with trendy western print colors, and the underside and base are made of wool felt. There are 8 pockets to insert inserts/shims: one large pocket on each side that runs across the entire pad, and 3 smaller pockets to fill/shim separately at the front, middle, and back.

Disadvantages of Felt Western Pads:
- Felt is hard to wash, cannot be machine washed
- No long inserts included for the lower insert pockets, as this is not always necessary. The advantage is that you can choose which inserts to use if needed.
The Roundskirt Felt Pad is ideal for:
- Round horses
- Horses whose saddles tend to slip quickly
- Horses that need small corrections without their saddle
- Use under treeless western saddles
- Use under (not too large) treeless all-purpose saddles, as the long sweat flap on these pads also fits all-purpose saddles, making them ideal if you want to give your all-purpose saddle a western touch

Washing Instructions for Felt Pad:
Felt pads cannot be machine washed, dried, or ironed. Clean them regularly with the included felt cleaning comb and vacuum them. In summer, you can rinse the pad with water, and for severe contamination, you can wash it with a little soap by hand. Let the pad dry in the form it is used, not in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Occasionally care for the leather finishing with Oakwood leather care.
