What is Esparcette:
Esparcette is a easily digestible plant/nutrient for horses. It reduces gas formation in the intestines, thereby reducing the risk of colic. It supports muscle development as it contains many proteins and amino acids. Contributes to a healthy intestinal flora and digestive system. Creates an anti-worm climate in the intestines with tannins, thereby reducing the chance of worm infestation. Esparcette is an ideal concentrate source for horses that require grain-free nutrition; it is palatable and is also eaten by many picky horses.
Advantages of Esparcette Pellets:
Esparcette Pellets are made exclusively from Esparcette and are ideal for use as concentrate and/or roughage. They contain many essential nutrients that provide optimal energy and muscle development, but no unnecessary sugars and starch. Therefore, they are suitable for horses with laminitis/insulin resistance as well as for sport horses.
- Many nutrients: contains organically bound calcium, vitamins, beta-carotene, selenium, and other trace elements
- Rich in essential amino acids: lysine, threonine, methionine
- Low in sugars and starch, but still energy-rich due to proteins and essential amino acids
- Contains plenty of fibers that support stomach and intestinal function and have a prebiotic effect. The horse must chew the food well, producing a lot of saliva. This neutralizes the pH in the digestive system, alkalizing the horse and reducing the risk of colic.
- Rutin to support the elasticity of blood vessels, antioxidant, reduces blood clotting, inhibits inflammation
- Contains tannins that slightly damage proteins. This makes them better absorbed, and the proteins of any worms are also attacked, giving it a worm-repelling/antihelminthic effect. It creates an unpleasant living environment for worms.

Recommended feeding of Esparsette Cobs:
- Young horses in growth: 0.25 - 2.5 kg per day
- Lactating mares: 0.5 to 2.5 kg per day
- Thin and older horses: 0.2 - 2.5 kg per day
- Sport and racehorses: 1 to 3 kg per day
- Recreational horses: 0.15 to 0.3 kg per day
Small amounts of Esparcette Pellets (1 handful) can be given dry. For larger quantities, Esparcette Pellets should be soaked with water: add 2.5 L of water per kg of pellets and let it soak for about 45 minutes. Warm water shortens the soaking time and can be used if not too hot. Hot water above 40 degrees damages the proteins in the feed, making it less well-absorbed by the horse.
For quantities larger than 1 kg, it is best to spread the Esparcette Pellets over multiple feeding sessions.

No free shipping for horse feed:
Horse feed is never shipped for free, even when the order exceeds the free shipping limit. This is due to the weight, which requires the bales and bags to be packed in different parcels, and most products need to be shipped individually. If you order 10 bales/bags of 15 kg each, you can expect them to be delivered in 5 to 10 packages.
Maridil is a European product
