This is the Barefoot Hipsaver, a seat narrower specifically developed by Barefoot to refine your seat feeling on Barefoot saddles. To make the hipsaver as affordable as possible, it is made of Dry Tex. The Dry Tex cover is filled with soft material, allowing the rider to sit softly as accustomed to a Barefoot saddle.
Why the hipsaver:
Barefoot saddles adapt to the shape of the horse's torso. As a result, the saddle can become wide to sit on, especially when the horse is broad or round. Unlike English saddles, Barefoot saddles do not have a narrowed seat. Some people find the seat too wide or individuals with pelvic/hip problems may not find it comfortable to sit in a Barefoot saddle. The hipsaver serves as a solution by slightly elevating the rider's seat, allowing the legs to hang more narrowly downward.
Attachment of hipsaver:
Attach this triangular Hipsaver under the seat of your Barefoot saddle (remove the seat first) on the Velcro strip so that your saddle gets a slightly more twist (roof shape), and your seat feeling becomes narrower. On top of the hipsaver, reattach the seat, ensuring a neat finish. The hipsaver has Velcro on both sides to secure it firmly in place.
