Less suitable for:
Riders who are looking for a free seat and a close contact feeling.
Pressure distribution and spine freedom with the bareback pad:
The bareback pad is filled with thick high-density foam. Underneath it, there is a detachable (half) pad for the (included) inserts, which provides some spine freedom and extra pressure distribution. This makes the bareback pad suitable for approximately 4-5 times per week use. Additionally, the bareback pad features a V girth system, which evenly distributes the girth pressure.
Inserts:
The bottom is equipped with detachable "cushions" that can be opened to adjust the inserts. The Ride on Pad Physio Nature bareback pad comes with 2 pairs of inserts: both the softer standard PU foam inserts and the slightly firmer foam rubber inserts. Depending on your horse's build, you can use either one or both sets of inserts in the saddle pads, or cut one set of inserts to fill in the front, back, or middle section, especially for horses with a challenging back.
No stirrup leathers on the bareback pad!
To prevent point pressure on the vertebrae, stirrups cannot be attached to the Ride-On-Pad Physio Nature. Additionally, using stirrups gives the rider a false sense of security and discourages them from developing an independent seat while riding.
Sizes of the Barefoot Ride on Pad Physio Nature:
The bareback pad is available in the following sizes:
- pony-cob, suitable for ponies and riders with ladies' clothing size 32-38, back length 51 cm and side length 49 cm
- horse-cob, suitable for large ponies and horses and riders with ladies' clothing size 40-44, back length 59 cm and side length 58 cm
Please note: There is a price difference between sizes, see the selection menu.
Color of the Barefoot bareback pad:
The Barefoot Ride on Pad Physio Support is only available in the color black-nature
Material:
Topside: Shorn sheep's wool and synthetic suede
Inside: High-density foam
Underside: Non-slip Sympanova
Girth straps: Nylon
Inserts: Foam rubber and PU foam
Sheep's wool:
To obtain the required wool, the sheep are only sheared and not slaughtered, as is the case with the production of lambskin, where the wool is processed along with the skin. The sheep's wool is machine-woven onto a textile base and further processed, making this item animal-friendly. However, a disadvantage is that sheep's wool woven on fabric tends to show faster wear and tear compared to lambskin or leather.
Not included:
The delivery of this bareback pad does not include a girth, allowing you to choose/use a dressage girth according to your preference. The bareback pad is equipped with dressage girth straps. The length of the girth depends on the size of your horse.
Maintenance:
Due to the non-absorbent and breathable nature of the Sympanova underside, the bareback pad does not need to be washed frequently. You can wipe the underside with a damp sponge if desired. If you still want to wash the bareback pad, it is best to rinse it in a barrel during the summer. It is too large for a washing machine.
