Grandeur Tomentum Endurance Fellsattel, pressure-distributing lambskin western bareback pad
The Grandeur Tomentum Endurance bareback pad, like the other Grandeur Tomentum Fellsättels, features a chamber construction with multiple inserts for excellent spinal freedom and pressure distribution. Among these multiple layers of inserts, there's also a plastic plate to further enhance pressure distribution. The endurance model doesn't have a sweat flap like the Tomentum Basic, Baroque, and Dressage models. The seat is made of genuine lambskin. A diagram showing how the bareback pad is assembled can be found in the images.

Advantages of the Grandeur Tomentum Bareback Pad:
+ Multiple inserts for excellent pressure distribution
+ Plastic plate for even better pressure distribution
+ Spinal freedom
+ Good anatomical fit for many horses and ponies
+ Small knee rolls to support the rider
+ Removable and replaceable lambskin seat
+ The bareback pad is equipped with 4 D-rings
+ No saddle girth included, so you can use your favorite saddle girth
+ Matching Grandeur pads, possibly with inserts, available
Disadvantages of the Grandeur Tomentum Fellsattel:
- Reduced close contact feeling due to multiple inserts
- Stiffer than bareback pads without a plastic plate
- Some riders find the Tomentum Fellsättels too wide
- Lambskin is slippery, especially when new, and can reduce the rider's grip on the bareback pad
- Sheep are slaughtered for the production of lambskin, so the product is not sheep-friendly
- The underside of this bareback pad is not ideal for direct use on the horse's bare back; a pad with inserts must be used underneath
- The bareback pad cannot be washed; the removable lambskin seat can be washed
The Western Endurance Fellsattel is ideal for:
- From D ponies to horses
- Horses and/or ponies with low to high withers
- Horses and/or ponies with outstanding spinal structure
- Approximately 5 times a week of use; with a suitable pad with inserts underneath, approximately 6 times a week
Less suitable for:
- Horses and/or ponies with extremely high withers
- Shetland ponies and small ponies
- Riders who prefer a good grip on the bareback pad
- Riders who seek a close contact feeling

Material of the pressure-distributing lambskin bareback pad:
Top: Lambskin
Inside: 2 pairs of inserts and 1 plastic plate
Underside: Synthetic wool and needle felt
Maintenance and use of the lambskin bareback pad:
To protect your bareback pad from dirt, it is advisable to use a pad under the bareback pad. Or even better, use a pad with inserts if your horse has an outstanding spinal structure or if you want to use the bareback pad intensively. The underside of the bareback pad can hardly be washed, so this is really recommended. You can brush and vacuum it to remove dust. The lambskin seat is removable and can be washed with lambskin detergent, centrifuged up to 400 times, and allowed to dry slowly.
Delivery time for Grandeur bareback pads:
We do not have the Grandeur bareback pads in stock. They are specially made for you in your chosen color, so they have a delivery time of approximately 35 days. Of course, we always strive for a faster delivery whenever possible. As soon as they arrive from production, they will be sent out immediately.
