Cavallo Sport Hoof Boots
The Cavallo Sport is a simple yet stylish, lightweight hoof boot. Available in 14 sizes in black. These hoof boots are sold in pairs, so 2 pieces.
Features of the Cavallo Sport:
- Simple, adjustable Velcro closures at the front
- The boot can be put on and taken off in one motion
- 5 mm narrower on the outside and lighter than the Cavallo Simple hoof boot
- Anatomically shaped for the unshod, natural hoof
- An elevated inner rim supports the lower hoof wall and keeps the sole pressure-free
- The anatomically shaped back protects the bulbs of the heel
- The upper part made of genuine leather is soft and comfortable
- The construction is finished with a soft, foam-filled leather collar
Design of the Sport Hoof Boots:
The Sport hoof boot is designed for slightly narrower hooves with a built-in breakover. It has slightly less grip than the Simple boot, is a bit lighter, and features a reflective edge for added safety. Due to its narrower design, the boot is also suitable for hind hooves. Like the Simple model, the Sport boot features Cavallo's well-known opening system, built-in drainage, and a soft-padded leather collar.
The hoof boot is made from durable materials: top-quality leather, waterproof stitching, and a sole made of high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Built-in drainage slits prevent the boot from being suctioned into muddy areas. The boot is lightweight and shock-absorbing. Additionally, it promotes the growth of healthy hooves, as the unrestricted functioning of the hoof mechanism ensures optimal blood circulation. Available in 7 sizes, which can be easily determined using the provided size chart.
Cavallo Sport is suitable for:
- Horses with round or slightly wider-than-long hooves
- Recreational use
- High heels
- Driving in harness
Cavallo Sport is less/not suitable for:
- Horses with wider-than-long hooves (the Cavallo Simple is a better choice here)
- Sport horses (jumping, endurance, etc.)
- Horses with low heels
Advantages of Cavallo hoof boots:
Very easy to use and a good fit
Disadvantages of the Cavallo Sport:
The boot sits high, which can cause irritation at the pastern; if irritation occurs in this area, Pastern Wraps should be used.
User tips for hoof boots:
- Using Pastern Wraps can reduce irritation caused by rubbing.
- Use Cavallo's gel pads for better shock absorption and biomechanical function of the sole.
- For horses with slightly wider hooves, the Cavallo Simple is a better choice.
Cavallo Sport hoof boot sizes:
The Cavallo Sport is available with both "regular" soles (equally wide and long) and the "Slim" sole. The Slim sole is about 5 mm narrower than the regular sole, making it suitable for horses with slightly narrower hooves and hind hooves.
