Thinline Shock-Absorbing Close-Contact Bareback Pad
Thinline is an equestrian brand specializing in producing high-quality shock-absorbing saddle pads. One of their related products stemming from this is this shock-absorbing bareback pad.
Thinline Shock Absorption:
Thinline has developed a high-density polymer with a honeycomb structure. This results in it being thinner than other shock-absorbing materials but still providing 95% more shock absorption. See the attached video for more information.

Disadvantages of the close-contact bareback pad:
- Available in only one size, suitable for horse-cob
- Insufficient anatomical shape for horses with high withers
The Thinline bareback pad is ideal for:
- Horses with low to medium withers
- Riders with back problems
- Riders who prefer a close-contact feel
- Use approximately 2 to 3 times per week; if using more frequently, use an additional pad with inserts to protect the spine.
Less suitable for:
Horses with prominent spines, as the bareback pad does not have inserts to protect the spine.
Pressure Distribution Thinline:
The bareback pad is filled with Thinline shock-absorbing materials. This makes the bareback pad suitable for approximately 2-3 times per week use. This does not include rides of several hours. If you want to use the bareback pad more intensively, use an additional pad with inserts to protect the spine.
No Stirrup Leathers on the Bareback Pad:
To prevent pressure on the vertebrae, stirrups cannot be attached to the Thinline bareback pad.

The bareback pad is available in the size horse-cob. This is suitable from large wide C ponies to large horses.

In addition, the pad has 3 D-rings, for example, for attaching light luggage or a bucking strap as a handle.
Maintenance:
Due to the SympaNova underside, which does not absorb moisture and is breathable, the bareback pad does not need to be washed frequently. You can wipe the underside with a damp sponge if desired. If you do want to wash the bareback pad, it's best to rinse it in a bucket once during the summer. It is not suitable for the washing machine.
