Why the EDIX Courville?
"A saddle should be a means of communication between rider and horse, with both feeling comfortable," this statement implies that the choice between riding with a treed saddle or riding with a treeless saddle should always be a conscious decision that should not be based on better or worse, but should be based on a different way of riding.
Pressure distribution of saddle and pad:
It would be more accurate to speak of a saddle combination rather than just a saddle. Inextricably linked with a treeless saddle is a pad tailored to it. This pad forms the basis for the saddle. The pad lifts the saddle slightly and, together with the saddle, ensures that there is space between the spine and the saddle combination. The saddle itself has separate, built-in, pressure-relieving anatomically shaped soft foam parts on both sides. Together with the pad with inlays, shock absorption and resilience are created, with a tunnel for spine freedom. The pad is not included in the delivery but can be ordered separately so that you can choose which one you want. This construction provides an extremely stable, flexible, and soft contact surface with the horse's back.

The very horse-friendly EDIX® Courville treeless saddle offers the rider a soft and stable seat due to the complete absence of hard materials. The flexibility of the materials used makes the saddle an extremely flexible unit. As a result, the saddle can follow the movements of the horse's back and shoulders in all directions, thus offering the horse optimal freedom of movement.
Rear arch of the EDIX Courville:
The EDIX Courville is the versatility model of EDIX. The saddle has an adjustable rear arch. The rear arch is delivered as standard with a high arch. But if desired, it can be replaced by a lower arch for a freer seat. Because the rear arch is adjustable, you can also adjust the seat length slightly.
Leather versatility saddle:
For EDIX® Courville saddles, a combination of brushed leather (nubuck) and smooth cowhide leather, both of first quality, is used.

EDIX® Courville saddles are available in three back length sizes.
- size S = 15 inches
- size M = 17 inches
- size L = 19 inches
Pommel size of the EDIX Courville:
When purchasing a new saddle, you can choose the width size of the pommel yourself. There is a choice of: XS, S, M, L, XL. If desired, a fork with a special cover for a fork can also be made, for which an additional charge applies, see the price in the drop-down menu.

Delivery EDIX Courville:
The saddle is delivered bare, without accessories, and the pad depicted in the photos is not included in the price. To ride with the saddle, you still need:
- pad with inlays
- stirrups and stirrup leathers or fenders with stirrups
- saddle girth

EDIX recommends maintaining the nubuck leather of the EDIX Courville with Oakwood leather conditioner.
