Spine freedom and pressure distribution
The bareback pad is filled with High-Density foam. This makes this bareback pad suitable for approximately 1-2 uses per week. The bareback pad does not have inserts that provide spine freedom. If you do want spine freedom under this bareback pad, you need to order a pad with inserts separately.
No stirrup leathers on the bareback pad:
To prevent pressure points on the vertebrae, stirrups cannot be attached to the BK Western Ultralight bareback pad. In addition, the rider gets a false sense of security and is less effectively encouraged to train an independent seat with stirrups.
