Grandeur is a German company that provides custom-made saddle pads for, among others, treeless saddles. All their products therefore have a delivery time of approximately 35 working days. Because there are many options available, it is impossible to stock all types and sizes.

Roundskirt western pad with inserts:
This roundskirt western pad is equipped with insert compartments on the underside of the pad and is therefore particularly suitable for treeless western saddles, improving spinal freedom and pressure distribution. The type of inserts can be chosen. The underside of the pad is made of cotton fabric. The delivery time is approximately 35 working days.
Customization:
These pads can be fully customized to your preference, meaning there are various options in the selection menus. The base price of the pad/the simplest version is indicated above, and additional charges may apply for various options. Please note that the version you choose is specially made for you and therefore has a delivery time of approximately 35 working days. Read below about the different customization options.
For which saddle or bareback pad should the pad be suitable?
To ensure that the pad you ordered fits well, it is important to specify the brand, model, and size of the saddle/bareback pad. All available options are listed in the selection menu. In short, the brands are: Barefoot, Christ, EDIX, Freefrom, Ghost, Grandeur, Hidalgo, Sensation Ride, Startrekk, Quantum, and Trekker. If available, the back length x side length is also listed behind each version in centimeters. So if your saddle is not available in the selection menu, you can see if the dimensions of another saddle might be suitable. The measuring method is shown in the image below:
Colors of Grandeur pads:
The Grandeur pads are available with 2 different types of stitching: Revision and traditional "square" stitching. Both stitching patterns have their own colors. The fabrics used by Grandeur for the colors are of high quality and hardly fade through use and washing. Images of the various colors can be found in the product photos.

Grandeur piping:
The edging of the Grandeur pad can also be colored according to your preference. This is the piping. There are three colors:
Upper side of Grandeur pad:
- fabric only
- neoprene non-slip layer
- neoprene non-slip layer with built-in additional insert compartment for thin inserts
- sympanova non-slip layer with built-in additional insert compartment for thin inserts
The upper side (outer side) of the pad can be supplied with pure fabric or a non-slip layer at the level of the inserts. This non-slip layer can be made of neoprene or sympanova. If you want a non-slip layer, sympanova is recommended for saddles with a synthetic wool or leather underside, such as Barefoot and EDIX saddles, unless your horse is very round. Neoprene is better suited for saddles with a lambskin underside or for horses that are very round. An additional insert compartment can also be built into the non-slip layer, which is only suitable for thin inserts or correction shims. Ideal if you need a little more height. Underside insert compartments:

The finish of the insert compartments can be done with 4 different options. You have the choice between black synthetic wool and anti-slip sympanova, with an additional charge. Details:
With the Grandeur pads, there is a lot to choose from, including the finishing of the edge/piping. This can be decorated with a single or double decorative cord in gold or silver. See surcharge in the selection menu.

Inserts:
For optimal pressure distribution, the insert compartments can be filled with various types of inserts. You can use your own inserts in the pad that you already have, or order a new set so you don't have to change the inserts. Another advantage is that the inserts are custom made for the pad. There are various types with different prices, see selection menu. If you are satisfied with the current pressure distribution of your saddle with inserts, we recommend ordering the same type of inserts.
Maintenance:
Grandeur saddle pads are made of specially selected high-quality materials. They are machine washable at 40°C, then spin briefly. The pads cannot be tumble dried! The material on the upper side is made of a durable, dirt-repellent material that hardly fades in the wash.
