Agrobs Pre Alpin Senior Horse Feed, rough feed for old horses or horses with poor teeth

According to literature, a horse is considered old at about 18-20 years old. However, aging can occur at different ages for different horses. One of the consequences of aging is a decline in dental quality, which can lead to a horse being unable to or having difficulty consuming roughage. Roughage is the foundation of a horse's diet. If a horse does not receive enough roughage, it can result in weight loss, disruption of the gut flora, and colic. If a horse is unable to consume normal roughage, it can be solved by offering a more easily digestible roughage like Agrobs Pre Alpin Senior, which has short, fine fibers that can be consumed by horses with poor dental health. The roughage should not be replaced with concentrate feed, as this is only a temporary solution and will ultimately lead to weight loss, disruption of the gut flora, and colic again.

Recommended feeding method for Agrobs Pre Alpin Senior mash:

as roughage, daily 1.5kg per 100kg body weight
as concentrate, daily 1.2kg instead of 1kg grain
1 kilogram of Agrobs Pre Alpin Senior replaces 1 kilogram of normal hay
small amounts can be fed dry (build up gradually), but Agrobs recommends soaking the product first, it does not require soaking time.
combine with a vitamin and mineral pellet to provide complete vitamin and mineral requirements, these can be soaked together

There is no free shipping for horse feed.

Horse feed is never shipped for free, even when the order is larger than 99,- euro. This is due to the weight, which means that the bales and bags have to be packaged in different packages and most products have to be shipped individually. If you order 10 bales/bags at 15kg each, you can expect them to be delivered in 5 to 10 packages.

Agrobs is a European product.

Agrobs horse feed is produced in Europe, Germany. It does not have to travel around the world to reach our store and therefore has a smaller environmental impact compared to horse feed from other regions. The production meets high European environmental and social standards.
