The Courville pad with inserts is specially designed for the EDIX Courville and Vika versatile saddles and fits perfectly underneath them. However, the model is also suitable for other types of versatile treeless saddles. Available in attractive colors: black, brown, blue, green, and red.

Design of correction treeless pad with inserts Courville and Vika:
The pad is anatomically shaped for an optimal fit and has a small split at the withers. On both sides of the spine, there is one large insert pocket for inserts that run the entire length of the pad, which can be closed with Velcro. By filling the pad with inserts on both sides of the spine, extra spine clearance is created under the saddle and the pad does not pinch or rub on the spine during riding. This is important for many treeless saddles, as not all treeless saddles provide sufficient spine clearance from the saddle. At the top, there are 6 pockets to insert inserts/shims, 3 on each side of the spine. This allows you to optimize the position of your saddle if necessary. Fill/shim front/middle/back separately.

Disadvantages of pad with inserts EDIX:
- In narrow horses, the split at the withers may cause the pad to slide down at the front. This can be solved by sewing the split closed by hand or having a cobbler/seamstress do it.
- Synthetic wool is warmer than natural wool

If you want to use the pad under a saddle other than the EDIX Courville and Vika, measure your saddle in the same way as shown in photo 6 to determine the best size.

The Vika / Courville pad comes with double felt inserts and 6 felt shims.
Maintenance and washing of the treeless pad with inserts:
To keep the pad lasting long, it is advisable to occasionally clean the pad with a vacuum cleaner if it is a bit dirty. If the pad needs to be washed thoroughly, it can be machine washed at up to 30 degrees, but do not put it in the dryer. Remove inserts before washing to allow the pad to dry much faster. Also, close the Velcro loops before washing to prevent them from getting full of hair and lint afterwards.
