Brief description:
A treeless Startrekk © saddle, ideal for leisure and western riding, that's the Comfort Western. Since the saddle is available in different chamber widths or with an adjustable chamber width (surcharge +129,- Euro Photo 3), it can be well adapted to various horses. As there are no rigid parts outside the front stirrups, the saddle can adapt well to the shape and movement of the horse and rider, they are flexible but also stable enough to distribute the rider's weight evenly over the back. This is achieved by a thin plastic plate. The cushions on the underside are also removable and can be replaced with different types to optimize the position of the saddle. The V-girth system also ensures a stable position even for small, short horses. Upon request, the saddle can be decorated with leather carvings on the edge of your choice. Supplied with matching fenders and stirrups and decorated with Latigo laces.

Width:
The Startrekk Comfort Western saddle is available in 5 widths:
- Front stirrup K1, comparable to width 6 on the Sprenger wither gauge
- Front stirrup K2, comparable to width 5 on the Sprenger wither gauge
- Front stirrup K3, comparable to width 4 on the Sprenger wither gauge
- Front stirrup K4, comparable to width 3 on the Sprenger wither gauge
- Front stirrup K5, comparable to width 2 on the Sprenger wither gauge
However, you can also choose an adjustable front stirrup called Dolphin. This front stirrup can be adjusted to all 5 different sizes with an included Allen key. Ideal if you are not sure yet which size fits your horse best, or if a horse is still growing or building muscles. The surcharge for an adjustable front stirrup is 129,- Euro.
It is possible, if you order a saddle in width K2, to later reorder a wider or narrower front stirrup and install it yourself into your saddle. However, this is not as easy to adjust as the adjustable Dolphin front stirrup. A separate front stirrup costs 78,- Euro. A separate Dolphin front stirrup (for later installation by yourself) costs 198,- Euro.

A Startrekk Comfort Western saddle is made with two types of leather, a base leather type and nubuck or nappa leather for the seat. Various colors are available. Please note that the color illustrations below may vary due to screen quality and the fact that leather is a natural product.

Nappa leather is soft and has a slight texture on the surface.
Seat leather Nubuck:
Nubuck is a type of suede that has a lightly brushed surface. This provides the rider with a bit more grip.

You can choose between silver-colored or brass-colored hardware for the saddle, buckles, and rings, etc.
Cushions:
As described above, detachable cushions are provided on the underside of the Startrekk Comfort Western. These cushions are available in various materials, and separate sets can also be ordered later (they cost 148,- Euro separately). Upon special request, a cushion can also be made with, for example, thinner padding in the front than in the back. However, it must be specified exactly how the cushion should be filled.

User instructions:
During use, we recommend using a pad with inserts for optimal pressure distribution and spine clearance. For example, a Grandeur pad, specially tailored for your Startrekk. In the insert compartments, you can choose the type of inserts yourself and, if necessary, choose a slightly thicker insert at certain points.
Maintenance:
Startrekk recommends storing the saddle in a dark, dry, and cool place on a saddle stand. Dirt and sweat should be regularly removed with a damp cloth or saddle soap. To maintain the leather quality, it is advisable to rub the saddle with leather oil 1 to 2 times a year (after cleaning). Do not use too much leather oil. In between, the saddle can also occasionally be greased with leather grease, but use the grease sparingly here too, to avoid compromising the stability of the leather. Note on nubuck leather: Nubuck leather cannot be maintained with leather oil and grease. Only use saddle soap and, if necessary, a waterproofing spray to keep the nubuck water-repellent. Note on light leather: Lightly colored leather darkens with oil. Therefore, use only grease. Before using a maintenance product, always test it first in an inconspicuous area to see how the leather reacts to the product before using it on the entire saddle.
Guarantee:
With proper use, good maintenance, and proper storage of the saddle, the warranty period is 2 years. The original invoice and warranty card are required to claim the warranty. There is no warranty for leather defects, as leather is a natural product and, for example, a small scar from the animal may become visible. Furthermore, there is no warranty for wear parts such as the girth rings, girth, stirrup leathers, and hardware.

Delivery:
Please note that the saddle is delivered without accessories required for commissioning. However, fenders, stirrups, and Velcro cushions are included by default.
Delivery time:
A Startrekk saddle is specially made according to your wishes (color and leather carving) in South America. Therefore, the saddles have a delivery time of approximately 10-12 weeks.
