How does a hackamore work:

A hackamore bitless bridle is a bridle with pressure on the nose. However, the action is sharper than other bitless bridle systems. This is due to the hackamore shanks that are in the bitless bridle. These shanks have a leverage effect, the larger the shank, the greater the leverage effect. Aids given with your hand are thus reinforced by the hackamore shank and therefore have more effect on your horse.
