Soft Pommel by EDIX

The EDIX soft pommel is actually only suitable for very wide XXL horses. Note that by removing the firm pommel, the saddle may tighten more easily over the withers. However, for some horses, this pommel is still a solution because it provides even more shoulder freedom than the firm pommels, or provides relief in case of injuries.

A soft pommel is ideal for:

Extremely wide horses
Very sensitive horses
Even more shoulder freedom

A flexible pommel is less suitable for:

Narrow horses
Horses with medium and high withers

Use of the soft pommel:
