The universal size inserts from Grandeur are suitable for pads with insert compartments. The inserts can be cut to size so that they fit perfectly into your pad and thus do not shift.

You can choose from 5 different types of materials:
Foam Rubber
The foam rubber inserts are suitable for well-fitting saddles that need to be raised slightly either partially or fully. The inserts can be combined well with another type of foam. If your horse has a difficult back, you can use the foam rubber inserts to partially fill the pad to compensate for the deviating back shape.
Advantages of Foam Rubber Inserts:
- Shock-absorbing
- Good resilience
- Lightly elastic but relatively strong
The foam rubber inserts are available in 6 and 12mm.
Memory Foam
The memory foam inserts can help stabilize the saddle position. Due to the body heat of the horse, the foam can easily mold to the horse. The foam adapts optimally to your horse's back and has a shock-absorbing effect. The memory foam has a delayed rebound effect.

The memory foam inserts are 15mm thick.
Soft Foam
This foam is suitable for horses with muscular backs. The foam can be used in combination with a firmer insert. The foam has a soft filling but is firm and ensures good pressure distribution. Because the foam is soft, it offers good comfort for your horse. The foam compensates for small irregularities.
Advantages of Soft Foam:

The soft foam inserts are 10mm thick.
Flake Foam
These inserts are made of composite foam. It is a firm foam that allows you to achieve a little more height for horses, for example, horses with less muscle.

Felt Inserts
The felt inserts are ideal for longer and heavier rides. These inserts are suitable for saddles that need to be slightly higher. The felt inserts adapt well to the horse's back. The inserts are very robust and are only minimally compressed under pressure.
Advantages of Felt Inserts:
- Breathable
- Regulates heat and absorbs heat
- Adapts well to the horse's back.
- Only minimally compressed under pressure, ideal if the saddle needs to be slightly higher.

Combining Inserts
All inserts can be combined with each other. However, it is recommended to use soft inserts as the first layer on the horse's back and then firmer inserts on top.
