Edix Soft-Tree Concept
The EDIX Tudor Child is called a soft-tree saddle because it is more structured compared to many other treeless saddles; technically, however, the EDIX Tudor dressage saddle is still a fully treeless saddle due to the absence of a solid tree. The EDIX soft tree saddles are made up of various flexible, soft, shock-absorbing layers and wool-filled panels that completely adapt to the horse's anatomy and posture. Thanks to this construction, the EDIX® Tudor Child dressage saddle offers the rider a narrow and balanced seat while still providing great flexibility and space for the spine for the horse's movements. The front gussets have a stabilizing built-in strap and are stitched for an extremely stable saddle position.
Distinct from many other dressage saddles, the stirrup bar is placed more toward the center of the saddle to ensure proper leg positioning and relieve the knees. The saddle can be further adjusted to the rider's preferences by choosing from low, high, or short knee rolls and positioning them perfectly in the spacious Velcro knee pockets.
The Edix Tudor Pony is Easy to Adjust
The EDIX Tudor pony dressage saddle is designed as a standalone saddle. With an interchangeable gullet system and the option to refill the panels, the EDIX Tudor dressage saddle is easy to adjust as your horse's anatomy changes due to growth or muscle development through training. Additionally, there is the possibility to temporarily support and/or correct the saddle position with a special treeless 8-pocket saddle pad in which inserts and shims can be placed.
EDIX Y-Girthing System
The EDIX Y-girthing system consists of 2 front billet straps and a third Y-shaped billet strap, which together ensure that the girth can be fastened in multiple ways, providing an ideal stable fixation of the saddle depending on the horse's build.
Disadvantages of the Edix Tudor Child Dressage Saddle
- The wool-filled panels require maintenance.
- The fit of a soft tree saddle is more critical than that of a normal treeless saddle.

Saddle Fitting Service
Although you can use the measuring template yourself to see which width you need, we prefer that you invite the saddle fitter to fit the saddle to your horse. This prevents disappointments afterward. Since a soft tree treeless saddle is not as flexible as a Barefoot or EDIX treeless saddle, the fit is slightly more precise. Information on saddle fitting can be found HERE.
Delivery of the EDIX Saddle
This saddle comes with a saddle cover and five different width gullets. Matching accessories such as pads, stirrup leathers, stirrups, girth, and bridle are available separately. You can find some suggestions on this page under matching items.
