EDIX sheepskin dressage saddle pad:

The EDIX dressage saddle pad with sheepskin is anatomically shaped for an optimal fit. The pad offers spine clearance thanks to the inserts on both sides of the spine and is lined with short sheepskin in the spine area. The advantage of shorn sheepskin is that there are no irritating seams around the spine. The top of the pad is made of cotton, while the underside is made of Merino sheepskin. The sheepskin is antibacterial, improves pressure distribution, and prevents chafing. There are 8 pockets for inserts/shims: 1 large pocket on each side running the full length of the pad, and 3 smaller pockets for individual filling/shimming at the front, middle, or rear. Equipped with a girth loop and three Velcro loops for attachment to the saddle. The pad is specially designed for EDIX dressage saddles but is also suitable for other types of dressage saddles.

Benefits of the sheepskin pad:

Shorn channel for the spine on the underside of the sheepskin ensures more spine clearance and is seamless to avoid irritation
The sheepskin underside contributes to pressure distribution under the saddle and prevents chafing

Sheepskin production involves slaughtering a sheep, so it is not animal-friendly
To maintain the benefits of the sheepskin, the pad must be washed with a sheepskin detergent

Sheepskin dressage pad care:

To prolong the life of the pad, it is recommended to clean it with a vacuum cleaner when slightly dirty. If it needs to be washed, it can be machine washed at up to 30 degrees, but do not put it in the dryer. Always use a sheepskin detergent to maintain the properties and quality of the sheepskin. Normal detergent will cause irreparable damage!
