    Instructions for use of the horsefly lure:

    The horsefly trap catches horseflies by deceiving the female horseflies. The black ball is heated by the sun and moves slightly back and forth in the wind. The horsefly is attracted by this moving heat source because the horsefly "thinks" it is prey for her. She lands on the ball, bites, and then flies disappointedly upwards (towards the light). She then ends up in the collecting reservoir via the funnel.
