This Christ sheepskin pad is specially designed for use under the Christ Iberica bareback pads. So that you can keep the bareback pad clean with a suitable pad or make the bareback pad more suitable for intensive use. The Christ Iberica sheepskin pad is anatomically shaped for an optimal fit. On both sides of the spine, the pad has insert compartments that can be filled with inserts if desired (matching inserts available separately). When using inserts in the pad, spinal freedom and pressure distribution under the bareback pad are improved. Sheepskin also works antibacterially, improves pressure distribution, and prevents rubbing.
XH or standard pad model:
With the abbreviation XH, Christ indicates that a saddle pad or bareback pad is specially anatomically shaped for horses with high withers. XH variants are not standard in stock. These have a delivery time of approximately 4-6 weeks. The standard model is available directly from Christ.
- The XH model is recommended for horses with high withers, to be used under Christ XH bareback pads.
- The standard model is recommended for horses with no to medium withers, to be used under normal Christ bareback pads.
Advantages of the Christ sheepskin pad:

Disadvantages of the Christ Iberica sheepskin pad:
- sheepskin is, especially when new, slippery and can cause the bareback pad to slide faster on round horses
- the pad makes you sit further away from your horse with the bareback pad, reducing the close contact feeling
- for the production of sheepskin, a sheep is slaughtered, so the product is not sheep-friendly

Washing instructions:
The pad liner is machine washable on a cold program, using sheepskin detergent. Sheepskin should dry slowly, should not dry in the sun. When using inserts, remove them before washing.
