Design of the treeless pad with inserts:
Most treeless saddles have no or only small cushions on the underside that do not sufficiently free the spine during riding. This is a deliberate choice because treeless saddles should be flexible, and the more "cushion" you add to the underside, the stiffer the saddles become. Therefore, for many treeless saddles, you need a special pad with inserts. This is the "finishing touch" in pressure distribution and spine freedom. The Kifra treeless saddle pads are anatomically shaped for an optimal fit. On both sides of the spine is one large compartment for inserts that run the entire length of the pad and can be closed with Velcro. By filling the pad with inserts on both sides of the spine, extra spine freedom is created under the saddle, and the pad does not pinch or rub the spine during riding.
Advantages of the Kifra saddle-shaped pad with sheepskin inserts:

Disadvantages of the Kifra treeless pad with sheepskin inserts:
-Sheepskin is slippery, especially when new, and can make the saddle slide faster on round horses
-Sheepskin production involves slaughtering a sheep, so the product is not sheep-friendly
-To preserve the benefits of sheepskin, a sheepskin pad must be washed with sheepskin detergent
-If you use inserts that you already have, you may need to trim them to size

Delivery of the Kifra pad with inserts:
Choose whether the Kifra pad should be delivered with approximately 12mm thick neoprene/foam inserts or without. With inserts, it is 10 euros more expensive.
Care and washing of the Kifra sheepskin pad:
To keep the pad in good condition, it is advisable to occasionally clean it with a vacuum cleaner if it is a bit dirty, do not put it directly in the washing machine. If the pad really needs to be washed, it can be machine washed at up to 30 degrees, spin max 400 times. Sheepskin detergent should be used as a detergent. Do not put it in the dryer. Remove the inserts before washing, then the pad dries much faster, and close the Velcro straps to prevent them from being completely filled with lint and hair. Sheepskin should dry slowly and should not dry in the sun.
