Pressure distribution of saddle and pad:
It would be more accurate to speak of a saddle combination rather than just a saddle. Inextricably linked with a treeless saddle is a pad tailored to it. This pad forms the basis of the saddle. The pad lifts the saddle up a bit and, together with the saddle, ensures that there is space between the spine and saddle combination. The saddle itself has separate, built-in, pressure-relieving anatomically shaped soft foam parts. Together with the pad with 3 Mesh inserts, shock absorption and resilience are created, with a tunnel for spinal freedom. This construction provides an extremely stable, flexible, and soft contact surface with the horse's back. The pad is not included with this item. You can choose your preferred pad and order it separately.
Flexibility and fit of the EDIX Libre saddle:
The very horse-friendly EDIX® Libre treeless saddle offers the rider a soft and stable seat due to the complete absence of hard materials. The suppleness of the materials used makes the saddle an extremely flexible unit. As a result, the saddle can follow the movements of the horse's back and shoulders in all directions, thus providing the horse with optimal freedom of movement.
Treeless dressage saddle:
The EDIX Libre is the dressage model from EDIX. The saddle features an adjustable cantle and adjustable knee blocks, see photos. The cantle is standardly supplied with a high arch. However, if desired, it can be replaced with a lower arch for a more free seat. By adjusting the cantle, you can also make minor adjustments to the seat length.
Leather dressage saddle:
For EDIX® Libre saddles, a combination of brushed leather (nubuck) and smooth cowhide, both of the highest quality, is used.
Sizes of the Edix treeless dressage saddle:
The EDIX® Libre saddles are available in three back/seat length sizes.
- Size S = 15 inches
- Size M = 17 inches
- Size L = 19 inches
Pommel or fork size of the EDIX Libre:
You can choose the size of pommel or fork you want the saddle to be delivered with. If you opt for a fork, it will give your dressage saddle a bit of a Western look ;) The following sizes are available:

Delivery of EDIX Libre:
The saddle is delivered bare, without accessories, and the pad shown in the photos is not included in the price. To ride with the saddle, you will still need:
- Pad with inserts
- Stirrups and stirrup leathers or fenders with stirrups
- Saddle girth
Care of the EDIX nubuck leather:
EDIX recommends maintaining the nubuck leather of the EDIX Libre with Oakwood Leather Conditioner.
