Vitalbix Linseed Oil + Vitamin E is a source of healthy omega-3 fatty acids + natural vitamin E.
Fresh grass contains a small amount of fat (about 4-6%), however, the fat it contains is mainly omega-3 fatty acids (especially ALA) and contains fewer omega-6 fatty acids. Since horses have evolved as grazers, they are adapted to a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids. When grass is dried into hay, most of the omega fatty acids, as well as vitamin E, are lost. For many horses (especially in the winter months), the daily diet consists mostly of hay/dried forage and a low proportion of fresh grass. Supplementing with omega fatty acids is then a must.
Grains, in the form of pellets and muesli, contain fat that consists mainly of omega-6 fatty acids. The same applies to vegetable oils such as sunflower oil and corn oil. Supplementing with such products can result in an imbalance of omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, which can lead to reduced immunity, increased inflammatory activity, digestive issues, reduced fertility, hyperactive immune system, etc.
Vitalbix Linseed Oil + Vitamin E contains approximately 58% healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Thanks to the high proportion of omega-3 fatty acids, the oil balances the omega ratio in the diet. The omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E have anti-inflammatory properties and a positive effect on overall health. The oil ensures that natural vitamin E is optimally absorbed by the body. Vitamin E ensures that the quality of the linseed oil is optimally preserved. A perfect combination...
