Maridil oil is pure milk thistle oil, extracted from the seeds of the milk thistle (Silybum marianum). The oil possesses various naturopathic properties to support the coat, liver, and overall health of the horse.

Milk thistle oil and silymarin:
Milk thistle oil contains silymarin, which supports liver functions. The liver detoxifies the body, produces blood proteins, bile, hormones, vitamin D3, and glycogen. When the liver does not function properly, issues such as poor shedding, itching, skin irritations, eczema, laminitis (lameness), and digestive disorders can occur. Silymarin protects liver cell walls and stimulates the formation of new liver cells. It also contains omega-6 fatty acids, vitamin E, and natural antioxidants that bind dangerous free radicals and counteract oxidative stress. The result is a well-functioning liver, a healthy horse, healthy skin, and a shiny coat. It has a positive effect on growth, fertility, and the immune system.

- Possibly feed together with Maridil VITAL and Maridil UNIVERSAL, which also have a high content of silymarin and complement each other. Recommended for liver problems.
