Advantages of PaddockTweaks Hayfall

Disadvantages of Hayfall:
The Hayfall allows for just one extra feeding. After that, you’ll need to refill and reset it. However, you can hang multiple hay nets on the Hayfall using pulleys, all of which drop simultaneously. This is useful if you have several horses that can't eat from the same net, helping to avoid conflicts.
Many Setup Options with PaddockTweaks Hayfall
There are many possible setups. For example, you can hang a hay net high in a (shelter) stable. If the ceiling isn’t high enough, you can attach a board to shield the hay net from the horses before it drops. Another option is to set a high pole in the ground and hang the net from it. You don’t have to use a hay net; you can also be creative with a trapdoor or flap. Check the manual here!
The Hayfall comes with:
- 4 AA batteries. You provide your own rope, hooks, and pulleys.
- Optional Starter Kit:
- When purchasing the Hayfall, you can choose to order it with or without a starter kit. We recommend choosing the starter kit for your first setup. It includes all the essentials for a simple setup.
- The kit contains 8 meters of rope, 1 carabiner, 2 pulleys, 2 swing hooks, and some zip ties.
- The zip ties are for extra safety and can be used to attach the hay net to the carabiner. They are essential because if a horse pulls too hard on the hay net or becomes entangled, the net should come loose, not the ropes, hooks, and pulleys.
- Other additional accessories are sold separately, such as ropes, swing hooks, pulleys, and hay nets.
Capacity of Hayfall
The Hayfall’s clamp can withstand up to 10kg of pulling force. If exceeded, the clamp will open automatically without damaging the device. In a standard setup, you can hang up to 10kg of hay. You can increase the capacity with extra pulleys.
Placing the PaddockTweaks Hayfall
The Hayfall is splash-proof, meaning it can withstand light moisture, but not rain. Place the device in a sheltered location to avoid unnecessary moisture exposure, which prolongs its lifespan.
Ensure the ground is level. If not, you can mount a board and attach the Hayfall to it.
PaddockTweaks is a European product
PaddockTweaks is produced in Europe, the Netherlands. The product doesn’t travel long distances to reach our store, thus having a smaller environmental footprint than horse feed from other continents. The production adheres to strict European environmental and social standards.
Packaging:
This product comes in a cardboard box. For shipping, it may be packed in an additional suitable box, preferably a reused second-hand box, if required by the rest of the order. If not necessary, it won’t be used.
