    What is a pommel for?

    Some brands of treeless saddles such as Barefoot and EDIX have a pommel that ensures the spine and withers remain free during riding with the treeless saddle. These pommels come in various width sizes, so that a suitable size can be found for each horse. If the pommel in your saddle has become too wide or too narrow, you can order a new pommel separately.

    FRA treeless saddles become EDIX treeless saddles:

    The FRA treeless saddle line continues under a new name, EDIX saddles, as of February 2018. If you are looking for accessories for your "old" FRA treeless saddle, you can use the EDIX accessories.

    The pommels are suitable for the following EDIX saddles:

    • Vika S, M, and L
    • Courville S, M, and L
    • Libre S, M, L, and XL
    • Tiamo S, M, and L (if you do not want a knob on your saddle)
    • Tequiro S, M, and L (if you do not want a knob on your saddle)
    • Equis S, M, and L (if you do not want a knob on your saddle)

    Sizes of the EDIX Pommels:

    • Kids size = White, only for the children's saddles Vika XS, Billy
    • XS = Red
    • S = Blue
    • M = Gray (standard in the EDIX saddles)
    • L = Green
    • XL = Orange
