Riding boots are characterized by their smooth sole and small heel. This prevents the sole from shooting through the stirrup and getting caught in the stirrup during a fall. Simple rubber boots are ideal for young riders. The boots look a lot like rain boots and have a higher shaft. They are also completely waterproof, easy to put on and require little maintenance.
Synthetic leather boots also require little care, are animal-friendly but have a leather look. If you are going to ride more often and more intensively, a molded riding boot made of real leather may be better. Leather molds better to your foot, which gives you more wearing comfort. However, leather boots do require more maintenance and are more expensive.
