What is a cross-under bitless bridle?
A cross-under bitless bridle works around the nose. In this bitless bridle, the straps under the nose are crossed, and the reins are attached to them. This allows for increasing pressure around the nose in case of a transition back when you need to (or should) pull hard on the reins. Thus, the horse experiences full pressure around the nose during a transition back. During steering aids, the horse receives pressure on its nose, either left or right.
