    Soft Pommel by EDIX

    The EDIX soft pommel is actually only suitable for very wide XXL horses. Note that by removing the firm pommel, the saddle may tighten more easily over the withers. However, for some horses, this pommel is still a solution because it provides even more shoulder freedom than the firm pommels, or provides relief in case of injuries.

    Advantages of a flexible pommel:

    • Suitable for wide horses
    • Has a soft padding
    • Flexible
    • Lightweight
    • More shoulder freedom

    A soft pommel is ideal for:

    • Extremely wide horses
    • Very sensitive horses
    • Even more shoulder freedom

    A flexible pommel is less suitable for:

    • Narrow horses
    • Horses with medium and high withers

    Use of the soft pommel:

    Actually only suitable for very wide XXL horses. Note that by removing the firm component, the saddle may tighten more easily over the withers.

    Size of the lightweight pommel:

    • XS, suitable for EDIX XS saddles with a pommel pocket equipped with a zipper
    • S-M-L, suitable for EDIX saddles S, M, and L with a pommel pocket equipped with a zipper
