Weaver Stacy Westfall bareback pad with gel
This bareback pad is made by Weaver Leather in the United States in collaboration with Freestyle Reining Champion Stacy Westfall from the United States. The bareback pad sits like a second skin on your horse's back, protecting the horse's back, but you hardly notice that there is something lying between you and your horse.

- Close contact feel
- Soft for the coat and skin

The bareback pad features an ultrasuede top, which has the appearance of suede with the benefits of high breathability and resistance to wear. It is easy to maintain and a very luxurious fabric. The bareback pad is designed by Weaver for maximum quality and performance, highly suitable for riders looking for a stylish bareback pad with high comfort. The built-in gel pad helps with this and will not freeze or break, adding extra cushioning and comfort to the bareback pad. The underside is made of 100% wool fleece, and the included girth is also lined with fleece. The bareback pad is finished with leather to prevent wear, with a Weaver logo detail.
Advantages of gel bareback pad:
+ Thin bareback pad for good close contact feel
+ Ultrasuede top for good rider grip
+ Fleece wool on the underside, soft for the coat and skin
+ Felt molds to the horse's back through use
+ With gel pad for extra shock absorption
+ Stirrup leathers cannot be attached to the bareback pad
+ Leather finishing to prevent wear
Disadvantages of Weaver bareback pad:
- When in use, the bareback pad does not have an anatomical shape
- The bareback pad does not provide spinal clearance
The close contact bareback pad is ideal for:
- riders looking for protection for their horse but almost don't want to feel the bareback pad. This model feels like a second skin on your horse!
- riders who are already experienced in riding without a saddle, as the bareback pad does not have pads for rider support
- riders who want to improve their independent seat and balance on the horse's back
- horses and ponies allergic to/irritated by neoprene or sympanova
- horses and ponies with little to no withers
- with anatomical pad, also suitable for horses with medium withers
The gel bareback pad is less suitable for:
- inexperienced insecure riders
- horses and ponies with high withers
- A, B, C, and narrow D ponies, as the girth is too long. However, the bareback pad can be combined with other western girths and can therefore be used on smaller horses if a different girth is used.
Delivery and necessary accessories:
The bareback pad comes with a girth. If you want to use the bareback pad intensively or use it on a horse with a reasonable wither, it is recommended to use an anatomical pad with inserts underneath.
