Pressure distribution of the EDIX Tequiro MPDS:
We might better speak of a saddle combination rather than a saddle. Inextricably linked with a treeless saddle is a pad tailored to it. This pad forms the basis of the saddle. The pad lifts the saddle up a bit and, together with the saddle, ensures that there is space between the spine and saddle combination. The saddle itself has separate, built-in, pressure-relieving anatomically shaped soft foam parts (the MPDS) on both sides. Together with the pad with rubber foam inserts, shock absorption and resilience are created, with a tunnel for spinal freedom. This construction provides an extremely stable, flexible, and soft contact surface with the horse's back. The MPDS system of the Tequiro is slightly different from the MPDS system of other models of EDIX. One layer of foam has been replaced by a layer of felt. This makes the saddle more suitable for heavier riders. See image. The pad is not included and can be ordered separately so that you can make your own choice in terms of color, model, and material.
Pressure distributing EDIX Circle Y girth system:
The Tequiro features a unique Circle Y girth system for Western saddles. This distributes the pressure over the front and back of the saddle, unlike many saddles that distribute it over the middle of the back. By adjusting the girth, you can bring it to the right place without the saddle slipping too far forward or backward.
Rider comfort EDIX Tequiro treeless Western saddle:
The EDIX Tequiro offers the rider a soft and stable seat due to the complete absence of hard materials. The suppleness of the materials used makes the saddle an extremely flexible unit. As a result, the saddle can follow the movements of the horse's back and shoulders in all directions, thus providing the horse with optimal freedom of movement.
The EDIX Tequiro is ideal for:
- Because the saddle is available in 3 sizes, it is suitable for both ponies and large horses.
- Due to the felt layer in the MPDS system, it is particularly suitable for heavier riders.
The EDIX Tequiro is less suitable for:
Shetland ponies, as well as A and B ponies.

Fork / Pommel size of the EDIX Tequiro:
The EDIX Tequiro saddle is optionally available with one of the five different pommel/fork width sizes. You can choose whether you want a pommel or a fork (with knob) for a more Western look. A pommel has no fork and is less in the way, for example, when dismounting. Due to the double zipper in the saddle, both a fork and a pommel are nicely finished in the saddle.
