    What is a carrotstick:

    This Natural Horsemanship stick, also known as a carrotstick, serves as an extension of the human body during Natural Horsemanship or groundwork with your horse or pony. By extending your arm, you can easily give aids to guide the horse's body to places that you cannot reach from your position with just your arm. A stick does not serve the same purpose as a whip. Hence, the original name carrotstick. However, nowadays, we often shorten this to stick. Carrotstick means "wortelstok" in Dutch. The idea behind this is that the horse should find the stick as enjoyable as a carrot. Therefore, the stick should not be used as a whip.

    Stick with flag design:

    The stick features a non-slip handle that is comfortable to hold, and the flag is detachable. Due to its lightweight design, the stick is very comfortable to work with. The flag can optionally be replaced with a string.

    Color of groundwork flag:

    The stick is dark gray with a royal blue flag. The flag is intentionally blue because this color, along with yellow, is more visible to horses.
