The EDIX Emir is designed for riders seeking a comfortable, high-quality, all-round saddle, suitable for recreational riding, dressage, and light level jumping. The saddle is made of soft and supple high-quality Turkish calf leather and soft leather panels filled with synthetic wool, featuring a wide channel for free movement of the spine and correct pressure distribution. Perfectly tailored leg support can be easily adjusted by repositioning the knee blocks in the beautifully concealed pockets. The various available knee rolls can be easily swapped or positioned by the strong Velcro attachment.
The combination of slightly forward-mounted saddle flaps and English girth straps makes this saddle a perfect choice for those seeking an all-round saddle and dressage riders with shorter leg lengths, who will find good leg contact due to the shorter saddle flaps.
The EDIX Emir is referred to as a soft-tree saddle because it is more structured compared to many other treeless saddles. Nevertheless, the EDIX Emir is technically still a fully treeless saddle due to the absence of a solid tree. EDIX soft-tree saddles are constructed from various flexible, soft shock-absorbing layers and synthetic wool-filled panels that fully adapt to the horse's anatomy and posture. Thanks to this construction, the EDIX Emir dressage saddle offers the rider a narrow and balanced seat while still providing great flexibility and space for the horse's spine movements. The front gussets feature a stabilizing built-in strap and are quilted for extremely stable saddle positioning.
The EDIX Emir dressage saddle is designed as a standalone saddle. With an interchangeable head iron system and the option to refill the panels, the EDIX Emir all-purpose saddle is easily adjustable as your horse's anatomy changes due to growth or muscle development through training. Additionally, there is the option to (temporarily) support or correct the saddle position with a special treeless 8-pocket saddle pad featuring inserts for the horse and rider.
The EDIX Y-girth system consists of 2 front girth straps and a third Y-girth strap, ensuring that the girth can be attached in multiple ways to guarantee an ideal stable fixation of the saddle, depending on the horse's build.
Distinguishing from many other dressage saddles, the stirrup leather hook is placed more towards the middle of the saddle to achieve correct leg positioning and relieve the knees. The saddle can further be adjusted to the rider's preferences by choosing between low, high, or short knee blocks and positioning them in the spacious Velcro knee pocket at the perfect spot.

EDIX recommends purchasing a treeless saddle as a complete package, including stirrups, stirrup leathers, and a matching saddle pad with inserts. Buying a complete saddle combination ensures that all components are matched and that the saddle is optimally tailored for both the rider and the horse. Your EDIX saddle dealer will be happy to advise you on the composition. To ensure a constant secure fixation, we recommend a fully or partially elastic girth for consistent stable positioning. A durable elasticity tailored to your horse's strength protects your saddle from unwanted forces caused by your horse's varying belly circumference during riding. The girth always adjusts in length and has the ability to keep the saddle in place with constant tension. In addition to the anatomical EDIX soft leather padded elastic girth, we also offer the F.R.A. elastic girth.
