Why the EDIX Vika?
"A saddle should be a means of communication between rider and horse, with both feeling comfortable." The EDIX Vika is the plastic variant of the EDIX Courville and therefore suitable for a slightly smaller budget.
Pressure distribution/MPDS system EDIX:
It would be more accurate to speak of a saddle combination rather than just a saddle. A treeless saddle requires a pad with inserts. This pad forms the basis for the saddle. The pad lifts the saddle slightly and, together with the saddle, ensures that there is space between the spine and the saddle combination. The saddle itself has separate, built-in, pressure-relieving anatomically shaped soft foam parts. Together with the pad and polypress inserts, shock absorption and resilience are created, with a tunnel for spine freedom. The pad for spine freedom and optimal pressure distribution is not included with this product. So you can choose your own preferred pad.
Flexibility and fit of EDIX Vika:
The very horse-friendly EDIX Vika treeless saddle offers the rider a soft and stable seat due to the complete absence of hard materials. The flexibility of the materials used makes the saddle an extremely flexible unit. As a result, the saddle can follow the movements of the horse's back and shoulders in all directions, thus offering the horse optimal freedom of movement.
Width sizes of EDIX pommels:
The width of the saddle is determined by the pommel at the front of the saddle. This is removable using a zipper and can be replaced by other width sizes, both EDIX and Barefoot pommels fit. Additionally, a pommel with a knob for a more western look can also be used in the EDIX Vika. When purchasing a new EDIX Vika, you can choose which width size pommel/fork you want:

The treeless saddle is delivered bare:
The saddle is delivered bare, without accessories, and the pad depicted in the photos is not included in the price. To ride with the saddle, you still need:
- pad with inserts
- stirrups and stirrup leathers or fenders with stirrups
- saddle girth
Maintenance of EDIX vegan synthetic leather:
EDIX recommends maintaining the synthetic leather of the EDIX Vika with Oakwood leather and synthetic wipes.
